Faith Weavers takes place every Wednesday evening at Zion Lutheran Church from 5:15PM-6:45PM as long as school is in session, or otherwise announced. Again, if the public school does decide to cancel school for any reason on a Wednesday, it is likewise our policy to cancel Faith Weavers, as well.
If your child is between Kindergarten and 6th grade, please consider having them join us for our stellar second semester of faith building, fun, and fellowship!
Parents can find more information and register below.
For families planning to take part, students should typically plan to enter through the church narthex each week, wait to be dismissed for the meal at, or quickly around, 5:15PM, and then head into the gym for the opening meal. Students will then progress through their typical stations, and Faith Weavers classes will conclude at 6:45PM. It is our preference that all parents/guardians pick up their children inside the church each week, so that way we know they are going home with the correct individuals.
We look forward to seeing everyone, first, for VBS and then back together again for Faith Weavers next fall!
As this weekly event is dependent on the teamwork of volunteers and supporters, we are once again putting out the call for assistance. If you feel called to help this year by serving in some capacity, week to week, please contact Kim Baumann, Suzie Wachter, or Mr. Jareske (402-329-4313) in the near future. Volunteers can be 7th grade and older.
We are still looking for individuals to assist with our various stations, cooking meals, and helping with serving the meals, without cooking. As such, if you believe that you might be able to help in one of these ways, please let us know as soon as possible.
For more information, please contact Mr. Jareske to inquire.
If you would be interested in donating to support this program, included below soon will be a list of some requested food items. As always, your support and encouragement is greatly appreciated as we look forward to seeing as many students as possible at Faith Weavers next fall!
Please put non-perishable donations in the marked bin in the kitchen with a note (from who, for who) and alert church staff about your donation. Cold items should be put in the refrigerator, and frozen items should be placed in the freezer. For more information, contact Mr. Jareske.
Gift cards and monetary donations are also welcome.
As of this past Wednesday, April 29th, another year of Faith Weavers instruction is in the books. As always, our faithful group of students and volunteers had a year full of fun crafts, exciting games, memorable music, and enriching lessons that ultimately concluded with our end of the year picnic and closing presentation. At this time we would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the parents that cooperated with our Faith Weavers program by sharing their children with this church on Wednesday evenings, so that we can work to learn and grow by diving into the Bible each week.
We would also like to thank our amazing group of volunteers who truly and absolutely make this program possible. We sincerely would not be able to provide this type of instruction if it not for the amazing commitment of our gifted leaders and guides.
Finally, we would like to thank this congregation for their support, encouragement, prayers, and generosity. Your collaboration with this program this year has been truly and greatly appreciated!
For families with students who attended Faith Weavers this year, please take some time to complete the brief survey linked on this website by, or before, Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, so our planning team can work to review your feedback at our next meeting, evaluate our current program, and work to continue to improve for next year.

Returns in Fall 2026!
Most Wednesday evenings from 5:15PM - 6:45PM, when school is in session or unless otherwise announced.
Please take a few minutes to complete our reflection survey as we work to constantly improve our program.
