Faith Weavers takes place every Wednesday evening at Zion Lutheran Church from 5:15PM-6:45PM as long as school is in session, or otherwise announced. Again, if the public school does decide to cancel school for most reasons on a Wednesday, it is likewise our policy to cancel Faith Weavers, as well.
If your child is between Kindergarten and 6th grade, please consider having them join us for our stellar second semester of faith building, fun, and fellowship!
Parents can find more information and register below.
For families planning to take part, students should typically plan to enter through the church narthex each week, wait to be dismissed for the meal at, or quickly around, 5:15PM, and then head into the gym for the opening meal. Students will then progress through their typical stations, and Faith Weavers classes will conclude at 6:45PM. It is our preference that all parents/guardians pick up their children inside the church each week, so that way we know they are going home with the correct individuals.
We look forward to seeing everyone next month!
As this weekly event is dependent on the teamwork of volunteers and supporters, we are once again putting out the call for assistance. If you feel called to help this year by serving in some capacity, week to week, please contact Kim Baumann, Suzie Wachter, or Mr. Jareske (402-329-4313) in the near future. Volunteers can be 7th grade and older.
We are still looking for individuals to assist with our various stations, cooking meals, and helping with serving the meals, without cooking. For cooking, you would only need to cook about once a month, but you do need to be able to manage a simple meal for, about, 80 people. If you believe that you might be able to help in one of these ways, please let us know as soon as possible.
For those planning to serve this year, a volunteer meeting has been planned to take place on Wednesday, September 2nd, from 5:30PM to 6:00PM, for those volunteering to cook, and 6:00PM to 7:00PM, for those volunteering to guide students and/or teach, in the church fellowship hall, for both groups. At this meeting we will discuss any new updates concerning our Faith Weavers program for this year, so if you are planning to serve, please plan to attend.
For more information, please contact Mr. Jareske to inquire.
If you would be interested in donating to support this program, included below soon will be a list of some requested food items. As always, your support and encouragement is greatly appreciated as we look forward to seeing as many students as possible at Faith Weavers this fall!
Please put non-perishable donations in the marked bin in the kitchen with a note (from who, for who) and alert church staff about your donation. Cold items should be put in the refrigerator, and frozen items should be placed in the freezer. For more information, contact Mr. Jareske.
Gift cards and monetary donations are also welcome.
With school here again it is time to think about another year of Faith Weavers at Zion Lutheran Church, beginning on Wednesday, September 16th.
For parents, a flyer with information about registering online for this program will be sent to school age students next week, and paper registrations, for individuals who would prefer to register in this way, will be featured in the church narthex/office starting next week.
Registration is required for all students attending our Faith Weavers program, and for any students fully registered by September 30th, we will be giving away free t-shirts this year as part of our Faith Weavers program to all students registered by, or before, that date.
We hope to see you soon!

Returns on Wednesday, September 16th!
Most Wednesday evenings from 5:15PM - 6:45PM, when school is in session or unless otherwise announced.
As we prepare for this year, please take some time to complete our online registration for our Faith Weavers program. All students must be registered to attend.
