OUR LEGACY
It was a dream over 100 years ago to build a school that places its foundation in Christ. A place where children could receive a top notch education while keeping Jesus in the forefront. Our students have been blessed by those leaders that took the leap and built the dream clear back in 1915. Building Zion has given 1000's of students the ability to connect with God on a daily basis. Providing our Community with a Christian school is our Church's Mission.
OUR TODAY
Zion Lutheran School is proud to offer more than just a classroom to our students. Wednesday mornings you can find our students in the Church for the weekly Chapel Service, each class takes a turn leading the Wednesday morning worship. Students also have the opportunity to participate in football, basketball, volleyball, track, band, quiz bowl, spelling bee and lots of field trips! Our teachers work hard to meet each student's needs and help them succeed. Zion classrooms are bursting at the seams! Enrollment has nearly doubled in the last 10 years! This is an absolute blessing and emphasizes our need for a new modern school.
OUR FUTURE
We want the dream of providing a Christ centered education to our community to continue for many generations into the future. The new 2 story building will be an addition south of the current gym. Zion will gain a main school entrance as well as a separate gym entrance for Wildcat games. The goal is for the new building to have a classroom for each grade, designated library, professional school office, sufficient storage and modern bathrooms. An elevator would also be needed to make our building fully ADA accessible. The one thing that will not change is Jesus will remain the glue at Zion.
